Short Description:<\/strong><\/h3>

(en)<\/strong> After receiving the Prix Tribew during the 64\u00e8me<\/sup> Salon de Montrouge<\/a>, I had the honor to publish a free artist book through the Tribew<\/a> editions. In doing so, I invited the poets Marie Willaime and Possoz Elio to reflect and write on a series of photographs that I took in bar toilets, in 2016. The project started as a collection of tags and slogans usually found in public toilets, ultimately evolving into a research of the toilet space as a place of distant communication with strangers. The photos, often funny, erotic or political, introduce us to humid environments full of openness regardless of their evident claustrophobic nature. The poems, come to extend, illustrate and personalise this experience.<\/p>

(fr)<\/strong> En 2016, j\u2019ai commenc\u00e9 une s\u00e9rie photographique prenant pour sujet diff\u00e9rents bars de Paris. Cette s\u00e9rie porte sur les slogans, les signes, les dessins et les\u00a0tags\u00a0laiss\u00e9s par les usagers aux toilettes. J\u2019ai visit\u00e9 de nombreux bars parisiens et photographi\u00e9 toutes les toilettes qui m\u2019ont frapp\u00e9e, tous les messages que j\u2019ai trouv\u00e9s int\u00e9ressants. Je suis passionn\u00e9ment inspir\u00e9e par cette id\u00e9e d’utiliser un espace intime pour laisser des messages publics. Les toilettes, en ce sens, se transforment en un lieu de communication entre des gens qui ne se connaissent pas, mais qui partagent \u00e0 des moments diff\u00e9rents, ce m\u00eame lieu d’intimit\u00e9. Ces messages, plus ou moins \u00e9rotiques, politiques, antiracistes, antisexistes ou, au contraire, pas\u00a0du tout\u00a0politiques mais ironiques, vulgaires et comiques font l\u2019amusement des usagers. Ces \u00e9crits sont tr\u00e8s pr\u00e9caires, car c\u2019est rare qu\u2019ils restent apr\u00e8s le nettoyage du lieu, le jour suivant. J\u2019avais envie de sauvegarder ces messages avant leur effacement des murs, et de les donner \u00e0 voir au-del\u00e0 des espaces r\u00e9duits des toilettes.\u00a0Les po\u00e8mes de Marie Willaime et Elio Possoz,\u00a0inspir\u00e9s des messages trouv\u00e9s dans ces lieux, permettent une lecture singuli\u00e8re de ces photos.<\/p>
