The frames under the title “Classification” consist of a frolic in the history of Yugoslavia, where we can see the highlights of the country’s history, from its creation to its destruction. The different political and ideological periods of the country are presented, from a personal point of view, using materials such as toys. Since Yugoslavia was the country with the most political and social changes in Europe, it was an interesting example in order to research the process of creating and deleting national identities. They are recorded, as they are remembered today, as parts of the collective memory of a nation that no longer exists. From its creation, a century ago, to its collapse the “Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes” as was first named, went through different changes of state and different economical and social systems. The political and social changes that the country has been through in the 20th century are always symbolised through its flag. Every different period of the history of the country is also a different formation of the national identity. The diversity of national identities determines the possibility of symbiosis. Were humans unable to continue to coexist in that place?
